Shaelee - We are madly & deeply in love with DR. Bronners in this house. It's a bit insane, really. Seth uses it in lieu of shampoo, Silas uses it as a non-bubbly bath soap, and I use it as a heavy duty body wash. We switch back and forth between the peppermint and eucalyptus scents... that stuff is fantastic. Not to mention, the bottle is a good read while in the bath. :P

Kelly - It was 100% on your recommendation that I leave the baking soda/vinegar nonsense behind. Like I said, maybe it does wonders on oily hair... but it would have prolonged this process so ridiculously, just based on the few days I tried to make it work.

JJ - You're meant to be a summer blonde... bottle needed or not. Besides... I'm insanely jealous that you can successfully wear your hair so long. I honestly don't understand how it's possible. That's how impatient and impulsive I am.

Guess what I finally did this evening? Yup. I washed my hair. I made it three or so weeks awhile back and it was looking good, but I blew it this time. I used too much leave-in conditioner and then I waited a week to rinse it. It was getting too gucky and I had an overwhelming urge to feel clean again.

Oog. And the dying thing -- congrats on giving it up. I'm also not doing so well with that. I have dirty blonde hair and it really does look so much better lightened up like sunshine. I think I'm going in this week for a job before school starts. I am so weak.

Hey. I really like to use Br.Bronner's Magic Soap to clean my hair. We get the pepermint-oil one bulk in town and its our all purpose self cleaner for showering. For conditioner Lush (from Victoria, BC) makes a solid bar that is pretty much only natural butters and oils. Its awesome. That is the setup I have used for some time now and my hair is awesome. I don't really count Dr.B's as shampoo, it's just saponified oils. But it's awesome and the peppermint oil tingle feels awesome.
