Whittling down the list
Right now we spend about $6k a year on groceries. So that's cutting the grocery bill down $500 per quarter. Totally doable. Especially if you look in my cupboard. I am overrun by box mixes. Who needs five different flavors of instant mashed potatoes? Or 6 boxes of Annie's Mac & Cheese?! Families with, like, 4 kids. Not us. There are definitely some things I keep 4 or 5 of on hand; green chiles, olives, whole black beans, tuna, etc... but I have no use for 5 bags of Wacky Mac 5-color rotini in there at a time. I have decided that part of my budget cutting mission is to clean out the unnecessary non-perishables from our cupboard.

Anyway... this glorious, clean, sturdy crate that has "Crescent Creamery" stamped on the side of it, guess how much it was. Just guess. You'll be wrong.

It was only 99 cents. For serious.

I need to do that too! So often I have all this misc. boxed or canned or frozen stuff, side dishes mostly and not the main dish or meat to go with it so it just sits. Then I cook the meat buy some new side and just eat that and not what I already had.
Oh and #26 is so easy (and yummy!!) You could mark that off your list no problem!
I know... I just want to make it with a mess of blackberries I picked myself. And I'm too lazy to find a good spot for picking.
